Guilty Pleasure Songs (Day 2) - America "Horse with No Name"

Terry's pick for Day 2 is America's "Horse with No Name." His first pick was "96 Tears" by Question Mark and the Mysterians (best band name ever) but the song is too good for a Guilty Pleasure post.

Happy 4th of July everyone! I'm doing a second post in honor of the holiday.  Dean Wareham's (Luna) first band, Galaxy 500.

Guilty Pleasure Songs - Gregory Abott.

We're in South Carolina this week with family and I've decided to have everyone pick a song for this week's theme....Guilty Pleasure songs.  Everyone has at least one tune that they love to hear, but only when no one else is around.

Up first is Lynette's pick "Shake You Down" by Gregory Abott (the next Marvin Gaye.....that never happened). It has everything from senseless catch phrases, spoken word, a nursery rhyme and I think an attempt at a rap. It's a great example of a guilty pleasure song....and everyone about 30 has heard this song.

Funny cover songs (Day 7) - Hillary Duff "My Generation"

Another example of why you should never have Disney, bubble gum chewing, performers sing rebel songs. It doesn't work for Britney and it surely doesn't work for the Duffster.

Funny cover songs (Day 6) - Britney Spears "I Love Rock n Roll"

Good ol Brit Brit doing a Joan Jett song. It's too bad no one has the heart to tell her that she can't sing. I want Britney to bring crazy back....like JT brought sexy back. That aggressive, weird, bald-headed Britney is what entertains me....the other stuff is just blah.

Funny cover songs (Day 5) - Kelly Osbourne "Papa don't Preach"

Kelly Osbourne's attempt at fame...but she can't sing, write, or dance. Luckily her Papa let her use his money to record a song....similar to that "Friday" girl....and same result....a piece of english shite.

Happy 4th Anniversary

I meant to post this yesterday, as it was our 4th Anniversary, but we were a little rushed to get to dinner.
